FAQ
- How much size reduction can I expect?
- JPEG and WebP can see 30–90% reduction depending on the quality setting and how compressed the original already is. PNG re-encoding is lossless — metadata is stripped but pixel data is identical, so size reduction is minimal.
- Why is my minified file larger than the original?
- If the original was already heavily compressed or at a lower quality setting, re-encoding may increase size. Try lowering the quality slider or use the Image Converter to switch formats.
- Is my image uploaded anywhere?
- No. All compression happens locally in your browser.
